Lying Liars

More lies from the administration about Clarke have been pointed out on Talking Points Memo. It's amazing to what lengths these guys will go to cover their asses. You can almost see them sweating over this one. Hehehehe....

On the flip-side, because these boobs are so inept and so concentrated on trying to cover their asses, I worry about the safety of the country from within and without. But it's these lying liars who are responsible for that. If God forbid they did their jobs honestly they wouldn't have to be taken to task. LOL.

More proof of them not doing their jobs can be found here using Condi as an example.

Pay Attention

At work yesterday, the new guy somehow forwarded a very unflattering outside email addressed to his boss around to the whole company. He quickly tried to retrieve the email, but a bunch of us read it already. I'm dying to know how long this guy keeps his job. LOL. And I still wanna know how he got the email...I'm gonna have to go stop by and bust on his boss. The whole incident was too funny.

UPDATE: Apparently the email was a joke being played on my coworker's brother that was accidentally mailed to the entire company as he was teaching the new guy how to use email. Still too funny.

Right or Wrong

August J. Pollack has a great post about what the GOP is trying to do to discredit Clarke and how they have failed to discredit the statements he has made. Go read it here.

Everglades Photos

The best part of my trip to Florida was visiting the Everglades National Park. While the park facilities are way outdated (with no help from the Bush Admin) the actual land/environment was lovely. However, you know it's bad when they show a film about the park that dates back to the '70s. I did make certain to buy some items from the gift shops there, knowing the proceeds would go to the park. I feel very strongly about the wonderful service our national park system provides in educating the young and the old.

Enough pontificating....here's some photos:

Update

Finally updated the version of Movable Type in response to all the spam I've been getting in my comments.

What I wanna know is why don't these assholes get real jobs rather than sending out a bazillion spam that users have to continuously delete? It's not like I'm going to buy one of their products/services. Sheesh.

The War in Iraq, one year later

It's takes a whole year to come up with an explanation why news networks failed to ask the right questions--and I'm not completely buying the explanation. While this article may explain why individual reporters did not question Bush&Co's motives, I still feel the guys up at the top were more interested in their bottom lines. War is profitable for the news business. That's all that mattered to the top brass.

At least this sort of dialog is happening. It's just a year too late, unfortunately.

God knows, I was questioning all the stuff Bush&Co was using as justification. Didn't take a rocket scientist to suspect the intel they were pushing forward was weak. It was how they were pushing it and their unwillingness to let the weapons inspectors complete their task that really made me question their intention. And I certainly wasn't the only one out there questioning it. Yet the press dropped the ball on it, instead pushing the whole idea that it was unpatriotic to be against the war. To me, they are just as responsible as Bush&Co in pushing this unjust war.

Spring Forward

Looks like many of my narcissi survived the winter, but will probably not bloom. The ones on the north side of my house, however, appear to have croaked. Also, my azaleas on the north side are in rough shape. The cold winter winds did a number on them.

What a bummer.

My lily tulips have been popping up. They appear to be doing well. And my forsythia appears to be ready to bloom soon.

I can't wait for spring to truly burst forth with color here in Maryland. It's coming.... :)

Working for the Weekend

The only issue with living next to a lake, is some mornings the water fowl get loud. Quack, quack, quack.....that's what I awoke to. But this way I'll go to work earlier and leave earlier...to go pack! :)

Fun in the Sun

I'm off to Miami this weekend for a bit of R&R. Can't wait. It's about time I had a bit of fun. 2004 hasn't been particularly positive thus far. Not particularly negative, just disappointing, I guess. And not much fun.

Do I sound wishy washy? God knows I feel wishy washy right now. *whine* *whine* *whine*

I had better come back with a sunnier attitude and a smile on my face. ;)

Johnson & Co.

I'd love to know if penis enlargement is big business. I sure get enough spam about it. *snicker*

Looks like it's time to upgrade Moveable Type. Just need to find the time. *sigh*

Oh Hell

I had such a shitty day yesterday. I won't bore you with the details. But it sure doesn't make me too anxious to be heading off to work soon.

Days like yesterday make me want a new job--heck, a new career.

Hopefully today will be a vast improvement. Otherwise I fear I might go ballistic, LOL.

Lost Again?

Checking my webstats, I found a few searches that have me wondering what these people were looking for and why they were looking for it. A few examples: "god i m searching", "who are the jones", "bush lies dollar bill", "angel pin scam", "demographics on hostage takers", "complacent", "pakistani weeding dresses"

Some, I only ask why?: "rate my piss", "strange stories of the catholic church", "what is played hookie", "how many people shopped at walmart??"

These I know what they are looking for but don't think they'll find it here: "the hunt for wmd", "imminent danger iraq", "andrea yates mug shot", "unibomber shack", "names of the unibomber victims", "batman archives", "things to do in rockville on a friday night"

Others just scare me like "anne of green gables slash" and "cat tails and how to make them"

Some I'm in agreement with: "diane sawyer is a bitch", "abb anybody but bush", "michael jackson is a freak", and "boycott walmart",

Then there are the loser searches: "suscribe someone to bulk mailing lists", "as a guy how do you bump and grind with a girl on the dance floor?", and "people more pathetic than me"

And an awful lot of women (and men) asking: "can you ovulate twice in a month"

And finally these cat ones give me a laugh: "siamese cat went on a rampage", "the shaved cat", "anatomical cat pics", "cat with stinky butt", and "cat peeing on car"

On the third day

At some point in time, I wrote an entry about the movie The Passion of the Christ. (why the 'the'?...I dunno, LOL.) I believe I was fairly supportive of Mel Gibson's right to make such a movie.

But this makes me sick--merchandising. Specifically, crucifixtion nails as jewelry. But not just limited to that. I'm not sure why this has struck such a chord with me, but I just resent the thought of Mr. Ultra-conservative Catholic Mel Gibson trying to make extra bucks off this movie by selling crap like that under the pretext of spreading Christianity, no less. I just think it's so tacky.

The question I have now is, did they sell merchandising to the Ten Commandments back in its day?
