One more day and then my vacation starts. Laundry and packing will be my priimary activities until then. I'll post about my trip to paradise when I get back. :)
My parents were here this weekend for my brother's birthday. We ended up not doing too much other than eating, watching tv and playing cards. We took a short walk before they left today because the temperature actually warmed up a good bit.
But overall it was a very non-productive weekend. I feel like I should've done more, LOL. Why is it that I feel guillty for relaxing?
Good news about Baby 81 in Sri Lanka. DNA tests have confirmed the baby boy does belong to the couple who put a formal claim for him. I'm happy to know both the child and the parents get a happy outcome,
A miracle has occurred on this date.
The very first bathing suit I tried on fit AND I liked it.
*triumphant music plays*
I tried on a few others that I wasn't crazy about and then purchased the first one I tried on. It cost way more than I would normally spend on a bikini, but most stores aren't stocking much in terms of swimwear yet. And last year I tried on more suits than I'd care to admit and came away empty handed.
I HAD to buy this one. I'd post a photo of it, but I didn't find my suit shown on the Water Water Everywhere website.
The other different aspect of my bathing suit shopping experience was I had the sales girl help pick out some suits for me to try on. I'm used to just grabbing a bunch and heading to the dressing room by myself or with my mom or a friend. But this place is a boutique and I'm guessing they work for commision. They practically insist on helping you. But the young woman that assisted me was very nice and picked out some nice suits.
And ironically the first suit I tried on and purchased was the one the sales girl said she really liked and was planning to buy for herself.
Finding such a great bikini for my Hawaii trip has got me in a great mood. :)
I've been neglecting my blog this month so far. Not anything great happening here. My Eagles lost. Work hasn't been too bad as I've been keeping busy this week. I always feel better when I'm being productive.
My house on the other hand is becoming a disaster area. This is partly due to the fact that I haven't been home much. And partly because I've been feeling tired and lazy. So it'll be a cleaning weekend for me.
Also, I need to do some clothes shopping for my trip to Hawaii that's coming up in March. And maybe I'll sneak in some time at the gym. I can feel the inches creeping back on since I've not been exercising hardly at all these last couple months. Pilates really does wonders, but like anything else, you have to keep doing it for the results to last.
Oh yeah, I did have a date last week. But it didn't last more than an hour for dinner. We didn't really click. Not too mention joking *twice* about having women tied up in his basement didn't do much for me. *sigh* Yeah, that really makes me want to go back to his place to rent a movie. NOT.
