Poor Gee

Life has been a whirlwind of late. And unfortunately, it has not all been good.

My cat Gee started having hind limb paresis last Wednesday night. Basically he couldn't use his hind legs properly. After a number of tests it is presumed that it is due to a spinal cord injury. But we may never know for certain. I don't have the money to do a CT scan or consider surgery. For now, Gee is confined to a medium dog crate. We can only hope that he will gradually recover.

Up until today, there hadn't been any change in his status. Today, however, he does appear to have some feeling at the base of his tail. And he was able to lift his back leg to clean himself. Small changes, but hopefully indicative that he may be starting to improve.

As it is, Gee has been putting up a fuss from time to time because he really just wants to get out of the cage. I keep telling him he needs to be a ble to walk first, hoping that it will give him the incentive to walk again. I'll try to keep ya posted.....
